Faxtorial Tools — small developer tools that run in the browser

What it is

Five small tools of the kind you reach for a few times a week: formatting JSON, reading a JSON Web Token, converting Base64, testing a regular expression and previewing Markdown. They are free, need no account, and do the work inside the browser tab rather than on a server — so nothing you paste is ever uploaded. That last part is the point: most of the alternatives want a sign-up, and pasting a live token into someone else’s website is a habit worth losing.

Stack

  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Kubernetes (AKS)
The JSON formatter: a navigation bar listing the five tools, a pasted single-line JSON order record on the left and the same record indented and colour-coded on the right, a toggle above them for showing the two panes side by side or stacked, and a status line underneath reading “Valid JSON · 13 keys · 317 characters out of 210 in”.
Faxtorial Tools, as it actually looks.

Yours would not look like this one.

This is my own; most of what I do is someone else’s and stays private. Tell me what you are working on and I will tell you whether it is a good fit.
